if someone asked me, "would you like to go to the coast?" what do you think my answer would be?
part ii from our travels to salzburg austria.
this is part I of our recent trip to europe. i'm a little behind on this post, but i finally have it blogged! what can i say, the landscape was breathtaking!
first time to flying j ranch, in conifer colorado, and it certainly won't be my last. we found some pretty sweet spots to snap some pics, and explore along the way. time goes by so fast. i can't believe its been over a year, since i took her older brother's pics, here. here's a few i got of this lovely young lady.

i can't get over how wonderfully beautiful this outdoor celebration was. there was something new around every corner of this private home in castle pines. the landscape was stunning! summer and eric's closest friends worked incredibly hard, so these two could enjoy an evening full of laughs, delicious finger foods, and good conversations. CONGRATS YOU TWO!!!!!! 10 yrs is a pretty big deal, if i don't say so myself! just celebrated mine too! :)
i'm a little behind on this post, but, here is one crazy in love couple who i can't wait to document their big day in steamboat springs this summer.
i'm a little behind on this post, since we took this trip in late november of last year. i took way too many ocean pics, overloaded on seafood, and soaked up every bit of that california light during our short weekend visit. i was inspired by every sense of the word, while we were here. part 1 of 2. like i said, i took waaaay too many pics, and i wanted to break it up a bit. so here you go!
got to photograph this adorable couple at the museum of contemporary art, here in denver. we decided to mix it up and shoot some indoors, then head to their rooftop to take advantage of the lovely outdoor weather. can't wait for june! CONGRATS YOU TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this kid is finally a senior! here are just a few snaps i took at ketring park in littleton. CONGRATS PRESTON!!!
a few weeks ago, i got to photograph this cute little family. we shot indoors, at their new sushi restaurant in cherry hills. there was plenty of natural light, so it turned out to be an ideal place to take some snaps of them. susie and her husband were so incredibly sweet, and generously offered me to try some of there rolls....of course, i could't say no to that!
last week i had the pleasure of meeting a very talented, and an incredibly sweet photographer. you can find her beautiful instagram feed @jacquelynpotter as well as here. we set out on an urban exploration together, looking for soft light and clean lines as our backdrop. she was calm, and more than willing to take whatever creative direction came her way. this was more of an experimental type shoot, where i encouraged her to dig a little deeper within herself, so she could express things in a way that created a sense of liveliness as well as depth. needless to say, she went above and beyond what i had envisioned. it was kinda magical! jacquelyn, you are just lovely.
these pics are a little overdue, but i'm pretty excited that i got to snap a few of my little sis while she was visiting last week. during one of her stays, we stumbled upon this new modern space in cherry creek mall, called restoration hardware, and well, we kinda fell in love with it! so, we came back to get what i'd like to call ninja snaps, since we wanted to be in and out as quickly as possible without being noticed. here are a few of this lovely lady.
you're standing on an edge of a cliff as the cool mountain air passes over you....you stop to take a deep, calming breath, exhale, and everything just seems to be better in that very moment. it's as if time as paused for a few seconds, but you don't care one bit, not even in the slightest. things are brighter, more beautiful, and your simply in awe at what's in front of you. that is the only way i know how to describe this wedding. i'm writing about this one, 'cause it is a little more special to me. i got to photograph my new friend's wedding. in all honesty, it feels like i've known her for a long time now. she's a deep soul. a talented artist, who has an amazing eye for beautiful things. olive and jay are truly two of the most wonderful humans i have had the pleasure of knowing. there genuine, caring, loving, and generously, kindhearted folks. their love is deep and only the closest family and friends got to share in their intimate boho-chic vintage inspired day.
it still feels like a dream, like i wasn't even there and i didn't get to see all the beautiful things that happened. olive was incredibly calm and collected. she worked tirelessly planning her day....probably lost some sleep over it, i'm sure. as you can tell, the hard work paid off and it was just delightful. words can't truly describe how wonderfully magical it was being a part of it all! i'm incredibly honored and humbled that i was able to capture their deep love and document every hour of every minute, as darkness slowly started to fall on a blood moon night. it was pretty special, to say the least. i hope you enjoy seeing these as much as i did. CONGRATS YOU TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love you both! can't wait to see what photo adventures await us when you return from touring around europe and africa.

every love story is unique. i think i've entered that particular stage in life, where i want to tell more of a story and be able to connect on a deeper level with my clients and i'm thrilled to have some pretty awesome humans let me take full creative control and allow me to visually tell their story.
i first met dustin while 2nd shooting a wedding with another photographer, and he happened to be assisting another videographer for the same wedding we did last year. it truly is a funny thing how this industry brings people together. it was nice being able to re-connect and talk shop again.
i can't even describe this engagement sesh!!! both of them told me, "they were awkward and didn't quite know exactly what to do in front of the camera, but you know what? i'd say, they did pretty darn good! here are some of my absolute favs below. enjoy.
